Never At Sea
Never at Sea is an upcoming series of immersive live performances and an exhibition directed by contemporary London-based artist Kate McMillan at St Mary le Strand Church, London in March 2023.
Never at Sea explores the embodied experiences of migration, climate change and loss through the stories of a group of women who have sought refuge in the ruins of a church. It will incorporate performers, a community choir, and musicians, interwoven with sculptures and moving image. Music direction and composition is being developed in collaboration with Cat Hope and a multitude of creative collaborators from Australia and the UK, including choreographer Sivan Rubenstein.
